Must I have a medical emergency to use my Ez Medical Alert? No, not at all. Only approximately 10% of all the calls we receive at Ez Medical Alert are medical emergencies. The rest of the calls are appeals for help with all kinds of other needs and not necessarily emergencies and we are happy to fulfill them all.
Will my Ez Medical Alert system really be Ez to install? Yes, of course it will. Download our installation manual Here.
Will my Ez Medical Alert affect my telephone service? Your Ez Medical Alert will not affect your telephone service unless the help button on the consol or the sender button is pressed and the system is activated. Please note that DSL service requires a DSL filter.
Will my Ez Medical Alert work with VOIP or broadband telephone service? Sorry, not presently. However, as VOIP or broadband telephone networks improve, we may offer it in the future.
What becomes of my Ez Medical Alert service if I move or go away for a period of time? The Ez Medical Alert is designed with flexibility. You may take it along on extended visits or to a new place of residence at no extra charge. Please contact Ez Medical Alert before your move and always test it after it has been reinstalled.
Will my Ez Medical Alert work in my car or when I go shopping at the supermarket? Typically, the Ez Medical Alert has an effective operating range of approximately 500 feet. The Federal Communications Commission limits the use of this type of system and assumes that once you are out in the public, others will help you if and when you need it.
Will Medicaid pay for my Ez Medical Alert service? Regrettably, no. Medicaid will not pay for your medical alert system and neither will most insurance carriers, even with a doctor's written prescription. Some state programs such as Medicaid Waivers, which are administered by the County Aging Services, will pay based on their specific criteria but you would need to check with them for more details.
